Bodega 1830 opened in November 2022 and is a unique tapas and wine experience that has not yet been seen in Clonmel.

Our menu presents diners with a divine tapas experience that is ideal for any event. The addition of tapas and leisurely dining to Clonmel makes for an experience that you cannot get elsewhere in County Tipperary.

Not only is our menu delightful and quality, but it is also made with fresh, local, ingredients and organic produce (wherever possible). We also have a range of Vegetarian and Vegan options to ensure that no diner is left out and everyone feels welcome.

HISTORY!

Bodega 1830 was built in the Richmond Mill which has stood in Clonmel for over 200 years!

Formerly a detached gable-fronted eight-bay six-storey warehouse, built c.1830, we are proud to now occupy this glorious historic space.

The historic building has a three-bay front elevation and also features a machicolated battlemented parapet to the eastern two bays.

Built from rubble sandstone walls with segmental-arch openings, the building gives a sense of both history and grandeur despite its humble beginnings.

We have tastefully modernised some areas for our guest comfort including replacement timber windows, some of which have been blocked off, and a timber double-leaf glazed door.

As well as fine wine and great food, visitors to Bodega 1830 are also treated to dine in a unique piece of history that you cannot experience anywhere else in the area.
