A climate & soil similar to Bordeaux was the reason Merv & Judy Lange planted one hectare of Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a few other grapes, on their grain & livestock farm in 1971. Early morning harvesting, careful winemaking, & the location of the Frankland River result in wine more European in style than you might expect from Western Australia.
