Mr Roche planted this plot of Carignan in 1892. The vines have bravely survived the years sheltered between two cypress hedges & offer one of the most beautiful expressions of this emblematic grape variety of the Corbières. The nose & palate are full of elegance, with ripe fruit & sweet spices. Its complex palate combines depth, finesse, silky tannins, & magnificent persistence. Ageing occurs for 12 months in barrels (with lees stirring) & horizontal terracotta eggs.
