Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
This is the second label of the iconic Haut Marbuzet, who bought Château Mac Carthy in 1952. The Mac Carthy’s were part of the “Wild Geese” who left Ireland following King James’ defeat at the Battle of the Boyne. This wine is hand-harvested, fermented in concrete vats, aged for 12 months in 100% new oak lending a bright & powerful nose offering subtle nuances of cocoa. The mouth reveals exceptional fruit with firm tannins. Very well balanced.
